Corporate gifts for clients and partners: how to choose well
A client gift is remembered for whether it fits the person and the relationship, not for how much it cost.
Start with the recipient
A senior partner, a long-standing client and a visitor at your stand are different recipients. Think about what each will actually use, and what suits local business custom. A useful, well-made item that sits on a desk daily does more for a relationship than a showy one that stays in its box.
Match the gift to the moment
- Executive gifts for senior clients and partners: considered pieces in leather, metal or wood.
- Gift sets when several items are presented together in one box.
- Technology and office items for everyday use.
- Occasion gifts timed to National Day, Founding Day, Ramadan or the Eids.
Keep branding restrained
A small, well-placed logo reads as confident. A large one reads as advertising, and recipients are less likely to keep or display it. Decide where the logo sits and by what method it is applied before choosing the item.
Plan quantities and dates
Count the recipients, then add a margin for late additions. Work back from the date the gifts must arrive, not the date you would like to order. Presentation, such as a box, a card or a ribbon, takes time to arrange.
