Overview

DTF (direct to film) prints the artwork onto a film that is then heat-pressed onto the fabric. It works on many fabric types, including cotton and blends, and handles detailed multi-colour artwork on small runs.

It is a good fit when the design has many colours or fine detail, the garment is cotton or dark, or the order is small. Tell us the item, its colour and where the print sits, and we will confirm the route.

Options and finishes

  • Full-colour artwork

Fine detail and many colours in a single transfer.

  • Fabric range

Cotton, blends and many other fabrics.

  • Small runs

Practical for quantities too small to justify other methods.

  • Placement

Chest, back, sleeve or other positions, set with the artwork.

What to include in your request

The more of this you can send, the closer the first quote will be to the job.

  1. The garment or item and its colour
  2. Quantity and sizes
  3. Artwork as vector files where possible
  4. Print position and size
  5. Date needed and washing needs
08/ 08

Tell us what you need produced.

Send the specification, the quantity and the date. If the specification is not settled yet, send what you have and we will come back with the questions that matter.

  1. 01

    Specification

What it is, what it is made of and how it is finished. A reference or a sketch is enough to start.

  2. 02

    Quantity

How many, and whether the order will repeat.

  3. 03

    Date

The day the work has to be in place. We plan backwards from it.

The specification, the quantity and the date the work has to be in place.
