Overview

Sublimation transfers dye with heat into polyester or polyester-coated surfaces. The colour becomes part of the surface rather than a layer on top, which is why it suits sportswear, flags and all-over designs.

It does not work on dark or cotton fabric in the same way, so the fabric is the first thing we check. Send the item or the fabric type with the artwork and we will tell you whether sublimation is the right route.

Options and finishes

  • Polyester fabric

Takes the dye fully, giving bright colour that does not crack.

  • Coated surfaces

Items with a polymer coating prepared for sublimation.

  • All-over printing

Designs that run to the edge of the item.

  • Heat transfer

The process that moves the dye from paper to the surface.

  1. 01

    Specification

What it is, what it is made of and how it is finished. A reference or a sketch is enough to start.

  2. 02

    Quantity

How many, and whether the order will repeat.

  3. 03

    Date

The day the work has to be in place. We plan backwards from it.
