Promotional Gifts
Welcome gifts for employees and gifts for events
A welcome kit says how the company treats people on day one. An event gift has to survive the journey home.
Welcome kits for new employees
Choose items a new colleague will use in the first week: a notebook, a pen, a bottle or mug, a bag, a lanyard and access card holder. Present them together, in a box or a bag, with a short welcome note. Consistency matters more than quantity: five well-chosen pieces beat ten random ones.
Make it fit the person
Think about the role. Field teams need practical items; office teams need desk items. If sizes are involved, as with apparel, collect them in advance and plan for a margin.
Gifts for events and exhibitions
Event gifts work when they are small enough to carry, useful enough to keep, and carry a clear but modest brand mark. Consider the number of visitors you expect and the places the gift will end up: a bag, a pocket or a desk.
- Hand out a few higher-value items to the contacts that matter most, and lighter items to everyone else.
- Pack gifts so they stay clean until they are given.
- Keep the contact details on the gift or the packaging.
Plan the date
Work back from the day the kits or giveaways must be in hand. Items that need printing, engraving or special packaging need time to be produced and checked.
